Multiple complications of orbital floor fractures have been described in the literature such as extraocular muscle imbalance and diplopia, enophthalmos, eyeball injuries, lacrimal passage injuries and ptosis.
An extermly rare complication, 3 cases of anisocoria have been reported in the literature, but this complication is presumed to be the nerve injury of parasympathetic postganglionic fiber which acts on pupillary constriction. This fiber follow the inferior oblique muscle, so this portion can be entrapped in the orbital floor fracture.
Authors experienced a case of anisocoria after blow-out fracture which was improved after operation.
